If the court has issued a warrant, suspended the license, or added another requirement, that may affect what needs attention first. A later traffic stop can expose any active issue immediately.
The goal is not to make the situation scarier. It is to replace uncertainty with the actual court status — then deal with the problem in the right order.
The paper in your hand may no longer tell the whole story.

If the license is already suspended: Stop driving. Find out what is needed. Get reinstated before the next stop.
If the license is not yet suspended: Act now. The window to prevent a suspension may still be open — but it will not stay open.
