I started practicing law in 1997. I have represented parents, their children, and sometimes their grandchildren. That did not happen because of advertising. It happened because people trusted me — and came back.
The Background
I Started on the Other Side
Before I defended traffic cases, I prosecuted them. That experience changed how I see every case I handle now. I know how the other side evaluates a case, where they look for weaknesses, and what matters when decisions get made.
I founded Ed Meire Law in 2000 and have been focused on traffic and criminal traffic defense ever since. It is all I do. That focus matters.

This Community
I Represent People I Know and People Like Me
The majority of my clients are Spanish-speaking families from Miami-Dade and the surrounding counties. Cuban families. Dominican families. Venezuelan families. Colombian families. Puerto Rican families. This is my community. I grew up around these families and I have spent my career serving them.
For almost 15 years, I did no advertising. The practice grew entirely through word of mouth — former clients, family members, referrals from people who felt they were treated fairly. That is still how most clients find me today.
When someone trusts me with a problem that is affecting their license, their job, or their family's stability, I take that seriously. That has not changed in nearly 30 years.

I tell clients what they are actually facing — not what they want to hear. That means explaining consequences honestly, presenting realistic options, and helping people make better decisions.

I Handle Court for You
In most cases, I appear on your behalf. You do not need to take a day off work or figure out where to go. I take care of it and keep you informed along the way.

Text, WhatsApp, or Call
The practice is virtual and mobile. Most communication happens by phone, text, or WhatsApp. If you need to talk face to face, we can do that by Zoom or in person by appointment.
My Approach
Success Is Not Always the Same Thing as Dismissal
A dismissal is an excellent result. But it is not the only good one. Protecting your driving record, avoiding points, keeping your insurance from going up, or resolving a criminal charge without a conviction — those are meaningful outcomes too.
I measure success by whether my clients felt they were treated fairly, understood their situation, and got the best realistic result. The families who keep coming back — and who send their children to me — are the measure I care about most.
